35% work on this character I’m designing “The Boogie Man”. He’s based on a design I did when I was 13. I’ll post a final later.
I created this pitch illustration as a style/ art direction sample. The pitch was to create an animal in her natural habitat playing any type of musical instrument.
50% progress on this Crane and Harp pitch illustration. I like this way better than I expected. It was a bit of a blue sky prompt to create an animal in her environment playing any instrument. I’ll post the final.
Maven is a bit Grace Jones inspired. I did watch #conan a lot when I was a kid. #gracejones #flock #graphicnovel #comics #characterdesign #blackandwhite
Prelim sketch of “Maven” from Flock. More to come. #flock #graphicnovel #blackandwhite #characterdesign
My lead character’s father is a retired United States Marine. It’s only appropriate to have his Marine Corp portrait on the wall. #characterdesign #flock #graphicnovel #blackandwhite
Close to final. I consider this a 50% sketch. I’m using this in ahead a background photo detail— so there’s no need to really flesh it out beyond 50%. #comics #flock #graphicnovel #characterdesign #blackandwhite

Putting Finishing touches on my first sample for my upcoming comic FLOCK. I don’t have a publisher lined up just yet, though I’m confident the story will be well received. I posted some sample pages and the first draft of the cover.
I was contacted by the marketing dept from Red Brick Brewery to create an original label mascot for thier Brother Leo brew.
Checkout the process images detailing how I go from loose sketch to final.
